Volcano Huts Álftavatn Restaurant

Our restaurant by the Álftavatn Trail Post on the Laugavegur Hiking Trail serves hikers with hot food and refreshing drinks. Here you can book your meals at our little restaurant.

Opening hours: Daily 11:30 - 23:00

*Please note that weather and conditions on the trail affect opening times. Information about any closures or changes to opening dates will be posted on our social media.

On the menu

  • Lunch | Soup of the day, salad and bread - vegan option available 11:30-17:00
  • Dinner | Course of the day - Casserole with chilli con Carne, rice and vegetables - vegan option available 18:00-22:00
  • Lunch packs takeaway - sandwich, chocolate bar, fresh fruit, juice box 11:30-22:00
  • Coffee & tea
  • Beer, wine, & soda
  • Snacks - potato chips, chocolate bars, cupcakes and more.

We serve food and refreshments between 11:30 and 23:00 every day. Feel free to simply drop in or book a meal online.
