Overview
Volcano Huts are located in Húsadalur Valley in the Þórsmörk Nature Reserve in Iceland. The unique nature of the Þórsmörk area makes this an ideal place for any nature and hiking enthusiast. We offer accommodation, local food, tours and activities for individuals, families and groups. You can even host your event, meeting or conference here. You can stay in one of our private bedrooms, sheepherders cottages, shared mountain hut dormitories, glamping tents and camping grounds.
Þórsmörk Nature Reserve has some of the best hiking trails in Iceland, ranging from short and easy to steep and challenging long-distance treks. Two of the most famous hiking trails in Iceland Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls trails, pass right through our doorstep, connecting Þórsmörk with Landmannalaugar to the North and Skógar to the South.
Daytours are available to Þórsmörk where visitors can catch a panoramic view of the volcanic landscape in just a couple of hours with easy access to and from the area on the daily 4x4 Þórsmörk River Bus or with specially modified SUPERJEEPS. Visitors can book their accommodation and bus tickets separately.
